  • Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking to hire an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Child and Family Developmental Services (CFDS) team. Our interdisciplinary team will include a neurodevelopment pediatrician, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language therapists, and behavioral health services to provide a wide-range of supportive services to families of children with disabilities. SCF is an Alaska Native-owned, nonprofit health care organization located on the Alaska Native Health Campus serving nearly 65,000 Alaska Native and American Indian people (customer-owners) living in Anchorage, Matanuska-Susitna Valley and 55 rural villages. Child and Family Developmental Services will be housed in our new, state of the art clinic featuring two large sensory gyms and several smaller, individualized treatment spaces with specialized equipment to serve a variety of customer-owner needs. CFDS will also be equipped with telemedicine capability to provide services to Alaska Natives in remote and rural villages. With a patient-care first approach, SCF has ample full-time support staff to allow therapists the ability to focus on direct patient care. Occupational Therapist:The right candidate will be a versatile, detail-oriented individual who can multitask and who has a compassionate and supportive approach with their team members. This department is seeking an individual with experience in treating a wide-range of pediatric disorders and diagnoses. Candidates with specialization or experience in any of the following areas will be given special consideration: · Autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorder · Cerebral palsy and other motor impairments · Sensory integration and processing challenges · Feeding and oral-motor therapies · Trauma, brain injury, and upper extremity rehabilitation · Wheelchair seating/positioning and adaptive equipment Daily Duties and Expectations: · Creating, developing and nurturing culturally appropriate interactions and connections with each other, customer-owners and the community. · Responsible for evaluating customer-owners and formulating therapy treatment plans and goals. · Provides occupational therapy consultation and customer-owner treatment to ambulatory outpatient care and long-term occupational therapy care · Performs treatments efficiently while keeping customer-owners informed and being sensitive to the customer-owner's comfort during treatments. · Complete documentation in a timely manner Qualifications for Occupational Therapist: · Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy curriculum. · Current NBCOT certification · Current Alaska License.
