The Mechanical Assistant - Trainee,fresh graduate, will assist all Mechanical Maintenance activites as directed by Senior Mechanical or Maintenance/Supervisor staff to support clients’ installations, maintenance, upgrades, inspections, and ongoing operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess knowledge about specific activity tools, and be able to use them safely.
Ability to work unsupervised on any part of an equipment maintenance project.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Ability to align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers,lasers, and plumb bobs
Experience dismantling machinery or equipment
Should have experience with repair and or rebuild of large industrial equipment.
Ability to move machinery and equipment
Assembly and installation of equipment
Perform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic Level Capabilities and Responsabilities acquired with a minimum of 3 years of experience; able to recognise tools and to proficiently use them. Provide active support to Mechanic
Must have strong mechanical aptitude and experience utilizing hand held and power tools including and mechanical troubleshooting equipment.
Experience in a hands-on mechanical position in an industrial environment highly desired.
Must have strong mechanical/technical skills.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
In-depth safety training a major plus
Must have valid Driver’s License
English proficiency requiredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma - mechanical technicianPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required frequently lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds
May be required to walk/stand upright for periods of up to 12 hours
May be required to bend, squat and climb stairs/ladders (occasionally to frequently)
Availability to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time)
