Defense Research Analyst Lead

Key Role:

Work on complex training and exercise problems and provide solutions that are fit for ALCOM and other commands. Work toward predetermined long-range targets. Serve as the organization lead on specialized projects or programs and in conjunction with NORTHCOM, PACOM, and other services. Provide budget input and management, resourcing of people, and oversight of Booz Allen support during exercises. Provide input for large programs or projects that affect the client's long-term goals and objectives relative to training, exercises, and readiness.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with DoD exercise planning in a joint organization

-Experience with DoD Joint Training System (JTS) and Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes

-Experience with Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), and Joint Lessons Learned Information Systems (JLLIS) tools

-Experience with project management

-Experience with briefing and writing for senior executive military leaders

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional job Qualifications:

-Experience with NORAD and USNORTHCOM

-Experience with DoD Joint Master Scenario Event List (JMSEL)

-Experience with leading Mission Essential Task List (METL) and exercise training objectives development

-Experience in arctic-related deliberate planning or training

-Knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) processes and procedures

-Top Secret clearance preferred
