- Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Alaska Cares Support Coordinator position provides crisis intervention, advocacy and support for Alaska Native and American Indian families seen at Alaska C.A.R.E.S. Child Advocacy Center for sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, exploitation/child pornography and/or witness to violent crimes or suicide. Work collaborative in a multidisciplinary team and under stressful work conditions. This is a job progression, two (2) job levels, designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences to employees as part of the overall assessment of their ability and capability. Progression between job levels is based on performance on prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Development, Psychology, Social Sciences or Social Work. 2. Two (2) years of supervised social service or related work experience with children and families. Additional Qualifications for Alaska Cares Support Coordinator II: Meets all requirements of Alaska Cares Support Coordinator I in addition to the following: 1. Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage Family Therapy or Education, Psychology, Social Work or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 2. Two (2) years of experience working in a Child Advocacy Center or demonstrated proficiency as an Alaska Cares Support Coordinator I at SCF.
